Someone has mastered the device that records phone calls and new ones are coming on air (2145 this evening). Some encouragement for Pastor Rice, otherwise lonely and depressed listeners with no one to talk to.
Having seen no reference to Pastor Rice's group relocating in any Henryetta newssite I sent an e-mail asking if anyone cared or was this just a small parlor-sized group that was generally unknown. Henryetta looks like a town of white Baptists split into extended family groups each with its own church, and the lack of a reply suggests that they may have been like the uncle you wished wouldn't come to family dinners.
There seems to be little activity in disposing of things that will not be needed when they are gone, like real estate and livestock. Nor is there any concern for people outside Maranatha, no street-corner meetings in Walterboro or other nearby communities. Sale assets could be used for another billboard campaign to warn those outside. Or maybe Rice and the Larivees don't really believe anything's going to happen
