Sabbath Service – January 9, 2021 – Bro Stair

Last Updated on January 14, 2021 at 12:28 pm ETBrother Stair begins his rhetoric by blaming his people for his spiritual weakness in that they don’t listen to him. Because that’s what gives strength to him. He says it’s their faces, their response, and mostly what he sees in their eyes. He fails to ask anyone what they see in his eyes. This going around the mountain of his need for people to treat him right – again. This flys in the face of his almost as often repeated statement that God told me to not pay attention to your faces. So instead of listening to what God told him, he’s wanting his people to listen to what he tells them because he’s moved and weakened by their faces.
Then Brother Stair calls them dead mans bones, and dry bones – again, forgetting the scriptural reference there is that it is the prophet’s words that make the dry bones live – not the bones themselves – they’re dead remember, they cannot make themselves alive (or change their face). But when you’re not speaking life it’s easier to blame the dry bones for the problem – rather than take the responsibility as the prophet as be careful what he speaks to the dry bones, and how that will bring life or death (Pr 18:21).
Brother Stair’s lack of perceiving time should scare anyone thinking he’s going to reveal timely events, on time. He speaks of so many years back and doesn’t remember that it was much longer. He later says he’s been speaking for 10 minutes when it was not even five minutes. Not really an issue – unless your claim to fame is the Prophet of Time, of the man who is to reveal the End Time events. In that case, you’d better be on time and accurate. Something that no one has ever witnessed in Brother Stair’s ministry.
This is a work in progress… check back and refresh for current updates.
“Most of the strength that you have in faith, you learned from me.”
Brother Stair claims that our faith came from him and therefore not from God. This would now make sense in how he claims that those who left him have denied the faith. Indeed they have denied any faith they had in Brother Stair or in him to perfect and save them. As they should. One wonders how anyone ever managed to come to Brother Stair in the first place without any faith – a faith which comes from Brother Stair in the first place. Worse, what is this faith that Brother Stair has taught us? A faith in the Prophet and not in God?
Paul only said follow me AS I follow Christ (1Cor 11:1). Well, we’re still waiting for Brother Stair to follow Christ – rather than take His place as he has done with his Son of Man and Prototype of Christ doctrines.
“Who dares to say that?” “Would a man dare say that about himself? A mear man?”
Here we see Brother Stair making the inference that he is not a mere man. He is more than a man. As he likes to say, More than a prophet. In fact, Brother Stair teaches that he is greater than Jesus. So he is no mere man. Yes, he would dare say that. He learned well from the religious shysters that schooled him that the shock method works.
“Because you have no love for the truth, you get confused.”
This truth Brother Stair is speaking of his ‘his truth’ and whatever he calls truth. He is not referring to God’s truth. Since God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints (1Corinthians 14:33), we know that this is not God’s truth because there is no peace here, or that this is not a church of the saints. Their confusion is not due to a love for truth but from a partiality to lies that they are tolerating in their midst. That they have both heard and seen in Brother Stair (Phil 4:9; Rev 2:20).
This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural [unspiritual], demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition [strife] exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, reasonable [willing to yield], full of mercy and good fruits, impartial [unwavering], free of hypocrisy.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by [for] those who make peace. (James 3:15-18 NASB)
“I am now on the verge of quoting the very word of God. What kind of a man would do that?”
But the quote just never gets to the point of actually manifesting. Just on the verge. Then, he proceeds to pervert the very word of God.
What Brother Stair is trying to “quote” here (which he has Bro Brown read as he can’t quote it) so that he can “blow his own horn” is Paul saying Those things which you have both learned and received and heard and seen in me – do (Phil 4:9). Bro Stair emphasizes seen and yes that’s where the problem comes that Brother Stair will not admit. It’s in what they see and hear (in private) that makes them understand the red flags of the Holy Spirit.
Brother Stair tells us that our problem is that we haven’t received Brother Stair. Meanwhile, Bro Stair never finishes quoting the verse. Which finishes with do; and the God of peace shall be with you (Phil 4:9). Instead of Brother Stair finishing the very word of God to realize how this works, he places his own spin on it by saying that our problem is that we don’t receive the prophet and learn from him.
Meanwhile, the very word of God tells us that the God of peace (and His peace) shall be with those that DO those things which we learn, receive, hear, and see in men of God like Paul. When we do the things we learn, receive, hear, and see in Brother Stair then there is no peace. Which is what he is noting in every service. You do what you learn, receive, hear, and see in Brother Stair and you’re going to face the wrath of God that comes on the children of disobedience (Col 3:6).
To back up a bit, we should understand what the very word of God is saying here – because it actually tells us what things Paul is talking about that they could learn, receive, hear, and see in him. Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things (Phil 4:8). This is not what Brother Stair is going to tell us or talk about today. So to answer What kind of a man would do that we know that it would be a man of God who would do that but we find that Brother Stair is not such a man – he never quoted the very word of God, nor do we think he ever has.
“Don’t say it’s somebody else’s fault. This has to do with your will.”
Yes, our will, not Brother Stairs’. It’s never Brother Stair’s fault as the shepherd. It’s always the sheep that are at fault for what the shepherd is or isn’t doing. Because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep (John 10:13).
“How many times you’ve been told you receive the prophet? How about receiving Christ?” “And you have to love it.”
As stated earlier, your vital role is to listen, to hear. Because the prophet needs your strength. But we fall so far short on that one.
“Hey! Does this house know the word of God at all?”
If they did they would run. As 99% have. The wise [man] builds [his] house, But the foolish tears it down with [his] own hands. The house of the wicked will be destroyed (Pr 14:1, 11).
“You never heard that presented to you like that in all your life.”
This is what makes it invalid. This is a common boast of Brother Stair’s – and every other cult leader ever. Not even Jesus made statements that did not have another witness. Jesus said that If I speak of Myself My testimony is invalid (John 5:31). Anyone who says they have something from God that they alone have – they are false. God doesn’t work that way. Everything God does has to have two or three witnesses to establish and validate it. This is one of the ways we KNOW whether something is from God or from the Devil. Test the spirits TO SEE where they come from.
“Jesus was the Son of God because of the faith of God’s elect. Not because He said so.”
This is outright heresy! We’ll get back to this later…
“That’s how we all know. Because of the faith of God’s elect. Hello Brother. Hey Sister.”
Therefore Brother Stair has the right to change his mind about you when you leave???
“If you have love one towards another – then you have faith, that we are? [The son’s of God]”
“You know why you don’t do it? ‘Cos you don’t know how! You don’t know how to hear what the Spirit is saying. Hear gossip. Hear a lie. Hear an assumption. Exaggeration.” “We have perfected lies so well that it’s impossible to find truth in anything.”
So the people that don’t know how to hear what the Spirit is saying are the ones that give us (or Brother Stair) the faith to know that we’re (or Brother Stair is) elect or a prophet… Sounds like a shaky foundation of sand to me.
We are witnessing the perfection of lies, assumptions, and exaggerations that attempt to bring about an impossible truth – that is no truth. Therefore, many do not hear what the Spirit is saying because they are listening (remember the word this Service started with), listening to, and following another – another man with another spirit that is not of God. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him (2Cor 11:4).
“[In a mocking tone] Well now Brother Stair, what about you? You make that determination. And you do. That’s why you respond sometimes.”
Here’s where we face the common error in the teachings of Brother Stair’s Overcomer Ministry. Brother Stair teaches that we are the ones who determine if he is a liar or if he’s God’s man. While this is put on the Witness of God doctrine it is also put on you to get that witness. And when you don’t get the witness that Brother Stair wants you to get (just as he tells you it says) – well, you’ve got the wrong witness from the wrong God. So you’re the one in error – not him. Because, he sells you, there is no other witness on him aside from the one that exalts him to be obeyed in everything and lets him get away with anything.
The truth is that we get a witness on a man (and especially on a prophet) by their fruits (Matt 7:15-20). We do not make that determination of our own fruits, it is the man himself that seals himself. We also test the spirits on men (especially prophets in the context of what John is saying).
Brother Stair sidetracks these two witnesses of scripture on how you know a man – especially one that calls themselves a prophet. He puts out the “you make that determination” to put the responsibility of coming up with the answer he wants on you. This takes him out of the picture and makes us the problem. We didn’t get the witness from God or we determined wrong because we’re not in the Spirit. And when we actually do test the spirits and go by his fruit and we then pull back or turn away from the wicked one, then we are vilified as the one that is in error – not the one committing the errors. Classic Overcomer – overcoming the saints (Rev 13:7).
“Now don’t tell me I’m wrong, I know what the Book says.” [In speaking of the Holy Ghost] “And He will convince you that you are a sinner. Now you know why a lot of you folk are not convinced. Because you’re not filled with the Holy Ghost.”
It actually says He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:8). It does not say He convinces US that we are a sinner. We are not of the world (John 17:16). That’s what the Book says. The Book tells us that Brother Stair is wrong in his perversion of this scripture – that he knows what the Book says.
If we apply Brother Stair’s reasoning here we find that he’s saying that he (Brother Stair) is not filled with the Holy Ghost – because he is not convinced of his sins. One has to wonder how Brother Stair can get this scripture so messed up, right after he boasts that he’s not wrong, that he knows what the Book says. Really? But he doesn’t stop at messing it up, he goes on to perverting its meaning and message altogether. Is this God’s man with God’s message? As he said, You make that determination. It’s not rocket science (Matt 7:20).
“Holy Ghost will never condemn you. But He’ll judge every thought, every word, every deed.”
Since Brother Stair regularly condemns not only his own house whom he calls God’s people (Pr 14:1, 31). He certainly condemns those who he once had a witness on that they too were God’s people and Brother Stair has now lost the witness and condemns them to Hell. Thus Brother Stair does not have this Holy Ghost that he speaks of.
Neither does Brother Stair find (or receive [remember that word from earlier?]) any judgment from this Holy Ghost or from God’s people (who have the Holy Ghost (Jn 14:16-18, 20:22)). Bro Stair fully excuses his every thought, every word, every deed.
Is it because Brother Stair is of the world because the world cannot receive [the Holy Ghost], because it does not see Him or know Him (John 14:17)? Or is it because Brother Stair has taken the place of the Holy Ghost? For Bro Stair declares himself to be the Comforter and the One Promised to come. This might explain why he doesn’t convince, condemn, or reprove himself for his sins.
“No, you’re gonna say, ‘I haven’t sinned like that one Lord. No sir. I pay tithes, I do all these good works.‘ Thou knowest not, that you are wretched. That you are wretched.”
There is no one in these sacred halls that we can say fulfills this more than our glorious leader, Prophet Brother Stair. The multitude of times we have heard him say that his sins are not as bad as our sins. Which he starts with all sins are the same, and you’ve all done it, and your sins are just as bad as mine. Then he moves to, your sins are spiritual sins which are worse than my fleshly sins. Now, which way is it Mr. Confusion? Are all sins the same or are our sins worse? I think we know the answer that he has for that one. Who do you think he is talking to when he says you are wretched? Not himself. And if you do rarely catch him adding himself to the list it’s only because you’re included. He has never placed himself a little lower than us.
Yes, We’re Only 15 Minutes In
Wretched and Abhor are twin sisters. More mutilation of the English language.
“Oh whatever happened to that ‘What a preacher’? Whatever happened to that? Now I shouldn’t have to do that. I shouldn’t have to say ‘Hey folk what a preacher’. I shouldn’t have to do that. You should drown me out!”
Brother Stair is feeling a little unmagnified so he goes looking for our praise, adoration, and exaltation – from the man who tells us “It’s all about worship”. That should frightening anyone with understanding to flee. He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord (1Cor 1:31; Rom 1:25-26).
“Foolishness? God said preaching is foolishness. Just plain foolishness.”
Again, that’s not what God said. Paul said that the preaching of the Cross – now that’s not the preaching that Brother Stair says is for today. Brother Stair teaches that the preaching of the Cross, of the Gospel of Salvation, is done way with – fulfilled. Therefore Brother Stair preaches another gospel. Apparently, Paul’s gospel has either become a stumbling block or is (obviously) foolish to him (1Cor 1:23).
This foolish preaching (of the Cross) is only foolish unto them that are perishing. Is that what Brother Stair and his Overcomers are – perishing? But unto us which are saved this foolish preaching (as Brother Stair calls it) it is the power of God (1Cor 1:18, 24). That’s what the very word of God actually says. “Now don’t tell me I’m wrong, I know what the Book says.” Does he really? It looks like God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise (12Cor 1:27). That is those who are professing themselves to be wise (Rom 1:22-26).
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness;
but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
(1Corinthians 1:18)
“Oh well, Brother Stair we don’t believe God talks to you like that. Some believed [and some believed not]. We don’t believe you’re the only begotten Son.”
Brother Stair compares himself to Jesus as justification or because he’s the prototype of Jesus – you decide. This is used to mock those who question God speaking to Brother Stair. Based on the made-up scripture that We don’t believe you’re the only begotten Son. Either Brother Stair is using this to place himself in Jesus’ place all on the teaching that they didn’t believe Jesus, therefore they’re not going to believe me either. Having nothing to do with truth or anything that Brother Stair does to prove this – no he turns to the abstract idea that using Jesus in comparison will make him right. Which cult leader hasn’t used this same tactic?
This is also used to equate those who don’t believe Brother Stair with being an unbeliever in Jesus. Sorry, you can’t get there from here – but he just did.
“What? You’re born of fornication.”
Brother Stair is talking about Jesus here and implying that Jesus was born of fornication. He’s using the argument of the people of His day because of His being born out of wedlock. This is still not the case under the Law – if Bro Stair knew God’s word. But what Brother Stair does here is to bring this out without that context and leave it hanging to indicate that Jesus WAS born of fornication – to justify fornication.
So if Jesus was born of fornication or at least thought to have been so, then Brother Stair’s sins are likewise insignificant for you to question his calling and authority. But realize what he just did there. He got you to compare the (false) stigma of being born of fornication to Jesus, to justify Brother Stairs’ (true) stigma of sexual perversion and crimes, and therefore we should accept his calling and anointing as still valid. Did you see what he just did to Jesus to justify himself?
“Where’s the problem? No repentance. Yet, they repent not. Now, what am I supposed to do? Should I preach that?”
What you should do Brother Stair obey your own words. Repent! Yet, Brother Stair repents not! Oh, he puts on a good talk that he has but listen closely and you’ll catch how he’s still living in gross sexual sin. He’s still cohabiting with his brother Dennis’s wife Rose. Yeah, just like John the Baptizer condemned Herod for (Mark 6:18). This modern-day John the Baptist thinks fulfilling Herod’s part is his calling.
In a moment he says that “I come in here and tell you of all the things that I’ve done, and I just didn’t do them (referring to his many sexual sins) in the last two years (meaning that he’s been doing them throughout all his ministry)“. Brother Stair also means that he has been doing these things in the last two years. Repent of this (and the many others) thy wickedness Brother Stair! You should preach that.
“But unto you.”
Here’s where we get out inclusion into that specialness – but only if we believe on Brother Stair as the one He has sent.
“Well now, Brother Stair we believe but we just don’t believe you’re THAT prophet.”
Again, why does his own house not believe what he continually tries to convince them about himself? (Pr 14:1, 30)
“And we don’t believe we’re THAT people.”
The manipulation here is that if you don’t believe that Brother Stair is THAT prophet then you don’t qualify to be THAT people. And so you are manipulated into believing in Brother Stair or else you will be left out and not be a part of God’s people.
“But we soon forget. I come in here and tell you of all the things that I’ve done, and I just didn’t do them in the last two years. In fact, I’ve been pretty good the last two years. Pretty good. Yeah I have. See you peanut brains… All these stories I tell you about, they took [(unintelligible) place a long time ago].”
Crickets. No one is buying this. Moreso they are shocked that he could make such an outright lie. It’s one thing that he does his wickedness and tries to hide it, it’s another thing to them that he blatantly lies to them about something they both hear and see him doing. And he then tries to make them his accomplice by getting them to swear to his lies before the whole world. They know he’s lying. He just cannot bring himself to acknowledge the truth himself (2Timothy 2:25-26).
“And I just didn’t do them in the last two years” Brother Stair says in referring to his many sexual sins that he’s been committing throughout all his ministry. Brother Stair also means that he has been doing these things in the last two years – as he has come in and told them. This is why he’s trying to clarify it here because when he told them he was referring to the last two years. Then the silence of the crickets makes him backpaddle a bit and say “I’ve been pretty good the last two years. Pretty good. Yeah I have.” Acknowledging that they aren’t buying it, and acknowledging that he has been continuing in his sexual sins – but to a lesser degree. At least lesser than he’d like to be doing. Perhaps he figures it’s lesser because of the lack of people in his dwindling house that he has to commit his sins with (Prov 14:1, 9, 11, 22).
He is also telling us in this that he was pretty bad previous to the last two years. What is this pretty good anyway? A servant of God is to be above reproach (Titus 1:6). That the man of God may be perfect (2Tim 3:17). Pretty good is not good enough. THAT Prophet will be blameless and harmless, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation,… shining as lights in the world (Phil 2:15).
Being hated and sexually impure is not on the docket for a mere man of God. And when what we have here is the great power of God (Acts 8:9) there can be no wiggle room for sin – this is no mere man remember. Qualifications are in order. He must be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of (the charge of debauchery) riot or unruly. For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Holding fast the faithful word (Titus 1:6-9 KJV, ESV). If you don’t qualify as an elder or a bishop, what makes you think you’re going to qualify for any higher office?
Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver implements (vessles), but also implements of wood and of earthenware, and some are for honor while others are for dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be an implement for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, skillful in teaching, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition (2Timothy 2:20-25 NASB)
