Nobody Gonna Replace This Leader

Back in August 2020, just seven months before the Seventh Angel Messenger (Brother Stair) passed off the scene, he made an emphatic statement about his successor in leadership for the Overcomer.

Let’s take you back to that Service not so long ago and see how things have turned so drastically and diametrically in opposition to his declaration and desires.  Remember, this is the great prophet of God with God’s words in his mouth – yet somehow today we find these words (of “God’s Messenger”) cast behind them and trampled by his own ministry and those that took leadership thereof (Psalm 50:17).

Follow ME!

“Nobody gonna replace This Leader.  Follow me!…  God Damn It!…  Follow ME!…
Follow ME!…  Follow ME!…  Follow ME!…  Follow ME!…  Follow ME!  FOLLOW ME!  My ME is I.”

“You’re not going to lead this congregation, or this people, until I’m taken out of the way.  And then you won’t be needed.  Hate me. Despise me.  You’re not going to lead this people [Pastor Rice].  You’re not going to have the authority over ’em.”  “You’re not responsible for my soul.  I’m responsible for yours.  You obey them who have the rule over you.“

Brother Stair is speaking here against another brother who is planning on leading this people when he is taken out [dies at the hands of the Pope in Jerusalem] – or speaking this into the ether (as he would) to any and all who would dare think they could step into his place after him.  Now that’s something that sounds relevant today – doesn’t it?

Throughout Brother Stair’s last years, since 2000, he taught that he was to soon be taken before the Pope of Rome to be killed – which would begin the countdown of Jesus’ return within six months.  This was a concrete doctrine among the followers of Brother Stair.  To this revelation, he would add a few tidbits in those years – like the Last 45 Days, the Final Push, and others covered in the Future Timeline.  One thing he would always add would be that there is no one coming after me.  He would always emphasize that there would be no successor, no intermediary, no elder or pastor stepping in to lead the Overcomer after my demise.

After all, the death of Brother Stair meant there was only to be a maximum of six months before Jesus returned so that He could get His title of Son of Man back from Brother Stair.  The endurance of Christianity was cursed by Brother Stair, he alone kept us reminded.  “There ain’t no way Christianity is going to endure on this earth after my death.  I’m the one reminder to all of you that Christ is alive and He’s coming again.”  Do we believe the Prophet that he is the one reminder?  Or do we forsake him for another?

In the light of the words of Brother Stair being perverted – by his own ministry – we remind you that Brother Stair was not talking about his continuance on the air in rebroadcasts that were to be kept going after his death.  Brother Stair clearly stated “after my death” – he meant just that.  He didn’t mean after I’m no longer heard as the current regime would have you falsely believe.

False Leaders

Why is anyone leading God’s people aside from God in the first place (Jn 10:27;  1Jn 2:27)?  Why is it that only Brother Stair gets God solely as his leader over him?  What he forgets is that, as a New Testament prophet, he is to be under the rein of the church and other prophets (1Cor 14:31-33).  He certainly forgot (as did his followers) that as a prophet, his fruit was the witness that we know him by (Matt 7:15- 20).  This is also forgotten by the current prophet/leader – Pastor Rice.  The one that is there outside of Brother Stair’s request or desire.

1 Corinthians 14:31-33 is also the scripture that deals with his next issue – if someone else says Thus saith the Lord it means that the word of God left Brother Stair’s mouth and went into theirs – and that isn’t allowed by Brother Stair, as covered earlier.  That is so much error here that we don’t even know where to begin to expose this tripe – it should be so obvious to everyone.  But since it’s not, thus we have the situation that we have today at the overcome Overcomer (Rev 13:7).

For those who guide this people are leading them astray
And those who are guided by them are confused

Just a Reminder

We remind Pastor James Rice of these words because he has conveniently forgotten them, or intentionally sidestepped them.  You see, Pastor Rice has taken up to lead this people (congregation) and to have the authority over them since Brother Stair has been taken out of the way.  How do you like those turn of events?  Directly opposing the command and wishes of Brother Stair spoken just months before his death.  Are we experiencing silent rebellion?

Going completely contrary to the words and will of the Prophet – all the while making the claim and justification that what he’s doing is what Brother Stair wanted and said.  Using this justification that became posted on the front page of the Overcomer website in early 2023:

“Shepherding us in the Prophet’s command by God, considering judgement [sic] and good order” –Remember, Consider and Be aware

They are not remembering or considering, or even aware that this is against the Prophet’s command.  What a shepherd!!!!  This is a betrayal!  James Rice is perverting their remembrance and not letting them consider what their Prophet has said – beware.  This is treason!  If you believe and hold to the words of the Prophet then you must resist this move of Pastor Rice and the current regime.  His words and actions are clearly against the words and will of Brother Stair.  And clearly against the word of God in having Brother Stair’s concubine Rose divorced from her husband Dennis so that he could marry her (Mark 6:18;  Deut 22:30;  2Sam 16:22).

Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble

False Shepherds

Remember, the Prophet that some mistakenly believe they are following said this about the shepherding that Pastor Rice wants you to believe is the Prophet’s command: You won’t be needed [when] I’m taken out of the way.  You’re [insert Pastor Rice here] not going to lead this people.  Did you all catch that one?  Because those remaining at the Overcomer have not – nor has their leadership.  Or are they just willingly ignorant because of the strong delusion that they have been given (2Pt 3:5;  2Thes 2:11)?  That delusion that has actually been given to them by God (2Thes 2:11).

Again, to clarify what Brother Stair, the Overcomer Prophet said: You [Pastor Rice] won’t be needed [when] I’m taken out of the way [die].  You[‘re] [Pastor Rice] not going to lead this people [the Overcomer or the Radio audience].

Many shepherds have ruined My vineyard,
They have trampled down My field;
They have made My pleasant field
A desolate wilderness.

Grievous Wolves

So why have these grievous wolves entered?  The answer is: to devour the flock (Acts 20:29).  Brother Stair warned us this would happen at the Overcomer, and thus he spoke this to his people so that they would realize that anyone who assumed the leadership over them was a grievous wolf and to stop them.  This grievousness is what we witness every week, and now almost every day as they exalt the new prophet (James Rice) with a (almost) daily message at the forefront of Brother Stair’s website.  This ought to have the followers and supporters of Brother Stair enraged at the usurping that has taken place by the people of Grace Community as they exalt their leader to head the Overcomer – as if that was Brother Stair’s will.  His emphatic statement before his death made it clear it was not his will.

Not content with that, Pastor James Rice daily hammers those who oppose him – who are standing with Brother Stair’s intent for his ministry in resisting Pastor Rices’ control.  Or is it his living in an adulterous relationship with his brother’s wife (Mk 6:18) that has them avoiding him, as scripture commands them to (1Cor 5:11)?  Pastor Rice’s smooth words have managed to sway the radio listeners and even deceive the heart of simple Walter (the biggest financial supporter) to his side (Ps 55:21;  Rom 16:18).  Likewise he keeps the weak-willed women lavishing accolades upon him to blow their trumpets before his Dining Hall homilies (2 Timothy 3:6).

This opposition to the will of Brother Stair was quickly stated in the first Rosh Hashanah Service after his death and would be used to turn his followers from the Trap that Brother Stair’s words were declared by Pastor Rice to be.  This is the primary reason that Brother Stair’s words on his successor are ignored today.  They have themselves a greater revelation from a greater prophet.

If Brother Stair is the Sign whom if you don’t hear then you won’t hear Jesus when He comes.  Then who are Pastor Rice and his entourage preaching and looking for to return?  “This is the Sign.  If you don’t hear me you won’t hear Jesus when He calls from Heaven.”  (Bro Stair, 2020.06.13)  Clearly, they have not heard Brother Stair.  Yet clearly Rice has realized the need to steer their hearing away from his words because they are a Trap!  A trap to whom?  A trap to Pastor Rice’s leadership over them.  Therefore James Rice has to circumvent Brother Stair’s words so that he can gain control of his ministry – against his words.  Are you now in Pastor Rice’s trap?

So It Goes

One might argue that Pastor James Rice is Follow[ing] Me (Brother Stair) in that he is following in Brother Stair’s footsteps and taking charge over his people.  That’s a weak argument against such a strong clear statement from Brother Stair, “Nobody gonna replace THIS Leader.  Follow ME!  You’re NOT going to LEAD this people.“

You can see clearly from what Brother Stair said in August 2020, that none of what we witness at the Overcomer Ministry today with Pastor Rice in control was his will or intent.  As such, the backbiting and infighting continue to this day with those fighting for control to rule and lead this people.  For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).  They be blind leaders of the blind.  And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch (Mt 15:14).

Are we to believe that Brother Stair was short-sided or blinded when he said this?  Missing his untimely death just seven months later?  As such he missed his opportunity to place Pastor Rice into the position of leadership till Jesus comes. Is that the kind of prophet you made Brother Stair out to be?  That wouldn’t be a prophet worth following or listening to, would it?  That would therefore likewise make his continued ministry one that is based upon lies and not worth following or listening to.  Decide, or has the spirit of confusion taken you also?

UnReasonable

This reasoning that Pastor James Rice was to be placed in leadership is not consistent with Brother Stair or with his sending James Rice back to Grace Community just days before his death.  There was no mantle passed or intent thereof.  Remember that Brother Stair always said that no one is coming after me.  In this statement from late August 2020, we see that he also clarified that no one was going to take charge after his death either.

All of Brother Stair’s actions, including those on the week of his death, show us that there was to be no successor or leader of the Overcomer Farm.  Brother Stair didn’t even allow Pastor Rice to speak during the week when he fell out and was at the point of death and unable to speak or finish his planned week-long Feast Days in which he died.  That in itself shows us that Brother Stair had no intention of installing Pastor Rice as the leader of the Overcomer after his death.

Mania Madness

Despite all this, the phone callers in their mania continue rallying behind Pastor Rice, proclaiming this to be Brother Stair’s will.  Why?  Because they see Pastor Rice as the only thing keeping their fragile house of cards from collapsing into the sand upon which it was built (Matt 7:26-27).  When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth (Prov 11:7, 4:14-19).

But unto the wicked God saith,
What hast thou to do to declare My statutes, or that thou shouldest take My covenant in thy mouth?
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and casteth My words behind thee.
When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him,
and hast been partaker with adulterers.
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son.

These things hast thou done,
and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself:
but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth Me:
and to him that ordereth his conversation aright
will I shew the salvation of God.

All of your prophet’s words have fallen to the ground.  His successor has proclaimed thus – it’s a trap!

There is only one cure for all this – the LORD, not man.  Seek Me and live (Amos 5:4).  You have put your trust in unfaithful messengers (Pr 13:17, 17:11, 25:13), in false witnesses (Pr 6:19, 14:5, 25, 19:9, 28), in muddied springs and polluted fountains (Pr 25:26 RSV).  As we are entering into a time of trouble, that is the last type of person you want to be around.  Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint (Proverbs 25:19).  Stay away from idols!   Return to the Lord (Hosea 14:8, 1 TLB).
