Brother Stair, the Prophet of the Overcomer Ministry preaching at the Tabernacle in Canadys SC.

The Sister Burgess Show was 10.5 minutes today, which is removed but don’t worry, you’ll still get plenty of her random outbursts.  Brother Stair came in at 955am and went on till 1239pm.  Over 19 minutes silence removed.

The opening statement is most revealing.  Brother Stair says that the one sin that cannot be forgiven is Overcoming so many of them and they are being defeated by it.  Well, then why would he bother with them at all then because they are lost and CANNOT be forgiven?  Just end the service there.  If he really believes his words then what’s the use in telling them a word more – just to beat on a dead horse?  Because that’s what they have just been declared.

This would mean that Brother Stair is not going or preaching to the Church, God’s saved people, but that he’s going out into the world (1Jn 4:1).

A fool shows his annoyance at once,
A fool’s vexsation is known at once,
(Pr 12:16  NIV84, NASB)

Their repentance is insufficient.  Interesting how he has a concept that repentance might not be sufficient because this is the issue all his followers have with his supposed repentance – yet he will declare that his repentance is before God and not them.  It’s around the same old mountain again and again with no hope of exit because the leader is going in circles.  Because Brother Stair’s repentance needs no such critique.  He teaches that repentance is a spirit, and so it’s not evidenced in outward fruits (as scripture teaches), so you’re not going to witness repentance in Brother Stair – you just have to believe he has.  But we are trapped because we have to show Brother Stair a spirit of repentance that only he can detect because he’s the spiritual man.  You can’t win with this kind of doubleminded confusion (Jam 1:8).  Confusion, by the way, is a spirit – and that spirit doesn’t come from God (1Cor 14:33).  One evidence of a spirit of confusion at work is seen in how it confuses those who listen to a mouth that it foams out of – you can see it in people’s faces.  While Jesus at times had issues with non-spirit-filled people understanding Him, the Apostles did not have issues with the church’s faces not understanding their words.  While Peter said that Paul’s words were sometimes hard to be understood he did not confuse his hearers (2Pt 3:16).  That’s not the spirit that God’s men operate in.

Do everything without grumbling or arguing,
so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault (Php 2:14-15 NIV)
