They Delayeth His Coming
Of They Delayeth His Coming series
Hardness of Heart
The Overcomers have actually hardened their hearts to what Brother Stair taught. What he taught was indeed false – for the truth is that none of his words came to pass (Deut 18:22). Neither in his great Prophecies during his lifetime nor in his many prophecies that were to take place before his death. But instead of repenting and turning to the living God, they are showing that what they follow is an idol of their own making (Eze 14:3).
This idolatry of the Overcomer Ministry is showing that it does not need to adhere to Brother Stair’s words it just needs his title and the foundation of the radio outreach that he set up. With that, they now merchandise his name and make use of his vast supply of messages. They are going on without him – yet using him. This is just what Brother Stair did with God. He used God as a means to bait Christians and as a means (like Lucifer) to make himself higher (Isa 14:14-15; Acts 8:9). Higher than God.
Do you remember Balaam in Numbers 22? That Balaam is the spirit of a prophet that led the Pergamum church (Rev 2:14). The one that taught God’s people that committing sexual immorality was fine with God (Rev 2:14, 20). It’s interesting what God said to this prophet in Numbers 22 and how another prophet (recently) liked to smite women’s butts multiple times.
And the angel of the LORD said unto him,
Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold,
I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before Me:
Recently, in the weekly phone calls segment (that someone knows how to edit but not how to edit out the false offerings) a woman went on about how she talked to Brother Stair and explained how the 1998 Gathering was his prophetic Gathering of 1,000. This is another sign of an unclear voice adding in their own perversion to somehow make Brother Stair’s failed prophecies come to pass. The airing of this proves that the current regime is on board with these twisted renderings, and they are showing us that even the listeners not on the Farm are stretching the silly putty that is Brother Stair’s words.
What she ignores is that Brother Stair’s prophecy of the 1,000 Gathering was proclaimed more after the 98 Gathering than before, and never did he accept that it was already past. Brother Stair declared in 1998 that they only had less than 900 (including the children who were not separated as they had to be after his 2017 arrest) and that it was not the promised Gathering of 1,000.
This Gathering of 1,000 is testified to by Brother Stair not long before his death as still to come. He stated its place behind the Tabernacle where they planted peach trees. Why would his followers plant peach trees out there if they believed his words? Why are they following Brother Stair when they clearly don’t believe his words?
“I have a vision.” “God, I told these people that You were going to heal a thousand people and that that place out there will be filled with people.” “He [God] told me 90% would come from this area.” “That they’ll come from everywhere.” “I guess I goofed.”
Many goofs in that one. How are they coming from this area and then come from everywhere? Regardless, the 1,000 Gathering prophecy was still unfulfilled in 2021 before his death.
Or do you need a second witness? Let’s go to 2008 – 10 years after the 1998 Gathering. Perhaps again you’ll want to spiritualize his words so that you don’t have to face them as having failed. Or did he just goof?
“He [God] told me there’d be a thousand people at a gathering in South Carolina before I go [die]. He [God] told me six months after I’m dead Jesus is coming.” “Don’t let nobody fool you.”
What we have here cannot be spiritualized or put off till he rises from the dead. The prophecies hinged upon his death. Now he is dead. Now is the reckoning time for the failure of these prophecies (Deut 18:20, 21-22). Or do you subscribe to this taking place before his second death (Rev 20:14)?
If You Don’t Hear Him
Why does she, and those airing this, deny Brother Stair’s words? Because this is what happens in cults when the leader passes. They have no solid biblical foundation to go by because their leader made it all up. Thus they are left with their own beliefs about what they think was intended by the leader – or more likely what they would like his words to be. This is what we are witnessing with the Overcomer Ministry under the new regime.
Did you not see a false vision and tell a lying divination when you said, ‘The LORD declares,’
but it is not I who have spoken?
For there will no longer be any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel.
For… whatever word I speak will be performed.
I will speak the word and perform it, declares the Lord GOD.
My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations.
They will have no place in the council of My people
(Ezekiel 13:7, 9, 12:24-25 NASB)
Brother Stair said many times (are they not hearing his words?) that the promised Gathering of 1,000 would be at the current Tabernacle in Canadys with people staying there filling the field behind it. That didn’t happen in 1998. Remember what Pastor Brunner said, “Did we fabricate this whole story?“ Yes, apparently they did.
Whosoever loveth and maketh a lie (Rev 22:15)
The Hidden Hallmark
Here is the ministry (the preeminent one as Brother Stair would brag) that proclaimed the soon coming of Jesus. The ministry that contained The Prophet. The Voice of God Himself.
The ministry that went beyond the proclamation of the Return of Christ to prophesying the events to take place before and after it. The ministry of the Prophet who gave dates to Jesus’ Return – even if some were timeframes, like before the year 2000.
Brother Stair: the Last Day Prophet of God, the Voice of God; he who stands in Christ’s stead as the Son of Man today – taking Jesus’ place. The Prophet who is the promised Comforter, and greater than Jesus Christ.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate (Titus 1:16). This verse is not only applicable to how the Overcomers’ deny God but now even in their denial of their prophet Brother Stair. They are no longer holding to his words – which is because it is clearly apparent (even to them), that his words have failed.
Because they are unwilling to lose their lifestyle, they decided to twist the words of Brother Stair into something usable that they can propagate – now that his words have failed (i.e. God has not acted on his words. i.e. God has not spoken to him (Jer 23:21). i.e. God has made him a false prophet (Deut 18:22)).
If they had stood in My counsel, and had caused My people to hear My words,
then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
(Jeremiah 23:22, 21)
Spirit of Rebellion
This professing to know has a glowing ember of representation in ‘Sister’ Burgess (Titus 1:16). Not only is she deceived into thinking that she is right in her rebellion against her husband but both Brother Stair and the new James Rice have lavished accolades upon her for her loud rebellion. She is locked-in to her unbelief. Her works of rebelling not only against her husbands’ wishes but foremost against God’s command to her to obey him (Eph 5:22-24; 1Pt 3:1-2) has her deluded that she is in the right because she has believed in the lie told to her that she is doing right (2Thes 2:11).
Then there’s the issue of her being the loudest noise maker in the church. This is in opposition to scripture that says, Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. (1Cor 14:34). You can be sure if she wasn’t worshiping the prophet she would be put down and shut up.
Let’s look at the next verse while we’re here. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church (1Cor 14:35). There it is. How is she going to ask her husband when she’s in rebellion to him? This is a shame. The shame of the Overcomer Services – The Sister Burgess Show.
Paul is not through yet. If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord (1Cor 14:37). This is not what Brother Stair or ‘Pastor’ James Rice acknowledges. So Paul is telling us that they are not a prophet nor spiritual – they only think they are. Looks like the Overcomer’s are also ignorant to that – let [them] be ignorant (1Cor 14:38, 33).
No ‘man of God’ would tell a woman to rebel against her husband, and worse, to tell her that she is obeying God in doing so. That’s a strong delusion. Her shouting is in direct contradiction to how Brother Stair teaches that a woman is to remain silent in the church (1Cor 14:34). This is the perversion of the Overcomer Ministry. It makes you think that you are serving God when you are following a twisted and perverted take on scripture.
If we put this in ‘Brother Stair speak’, and now ‘Pastor Rice speak’, and put the spiritual spin on it, then this shows us that Rose Larivee (vice president of the Overcomer) is not the only cult prostitute there (Deut 23:17). A physical one, but not the only spiritual one.
None of the daughters of Israel shall be a cult prostitute
(Deuteronomy 23:17 NASB & AMP)
