The Festival of Pride

The 2018 Feast of Unleaven Bread had services every night of the week at the Overcomer Ministry.

Gods intent for the Feast of Unleavened Bread is that we focus on getting the leaven out.  This is referring to us getting out of us the pride and iniquity that puffs us up.

Is this the unleavening that the Lord requires?

While God’s intent for the Feast of Unleavened Bread is that we focus on getting the leaven out.  This is referring to us getting out of us the pride and iniquity that puffs us up.  Instead, what we hear coming from the Overcomer Ministry is men of pride howling angry words, justifying themselves before men (Lk 16:15).  This is not the table that the Lord has set (1Cor 10:21).

Puff The Magic Dragon

So are we to believe that these flaming words coming forth, devouring the children of God, are in accord with God’s wishes? (Pr 26:18)  Men puffed up in their own self-conceit and pride, wearied that others are not giving them the allegiance that they desire (Php 2:3;  2Tim 3:2-5).  Wanting submission to their every whim (2TIm 3:6-7).  Puffing out their fiery threats and dragging on about their own supposed great works which no one in their hearing has witnessed (Acts 8:9).

Is this the unleavening that the Lord requires? (Micah 6:8)

The Holy See

Certain men walk in the ways of Simon the Sorcerer who used sorcery to bewitch the people with stories of his great works by which he showed them (in their minds) that he did.  Therefore they believed him to be some great power of God (Acts 8:9-11).  All you have to do is tell the right stories, in the right way, with authority – and people will believe it must be true or you’re insane to be so bold (Pr 28:1).  As they have no proof it didn’t take place and they don’t want to think they were deceived by what looked like a man of God (or angel of light) they find it easier to accept that these tales must be true vs. an over-stepping exaltation (Pr 28:15;  Eze 22:25).  So in their minds, they SEE and believe what the “holy” sorcerer wants them to see about him.

The Agents of Antichrist

Purge out the leaven, the hypocrisy [the contrivance of a false appearance of virtue or goodness, while concealing real character or inclinations, especially. with respect to religious and moral beliefs; dissimulation, pretense, sham.], and wickedness (1Cor 5:7).  Those walking contrary to Christ practice these anti-Christ ways.

This Feast is to remind us that we are to be uncontaminated, not with the leaven of vice and malice and wickedness, but with purity, nobility, honor, sincerity, and unadulterated truth (1Cor 5:7-8).

What Would John Say?

Beloved, do not believe every spirit [speaking through a self-proclaimed prophet]; instead test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets and teachers have gone out into the world.  Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind].  They [who teach twisted doctrine] are of the world and belong to it; therefore they speak from the [viewpoint of the] world [with its immoral freedom and baseless theories—demanding compliance with their opinions and ridiculing the values of the upright], and the [gullible one of the] world listens closely and pays attention to them.  We [who teach God’s word] are from God [energized by the Holy Spirit], and whoever knows God [through personal experience] listens to us [and has a deeper understanding of Him]. Whoever is not of God does not listen to us.  By this we know [without any doubt] the spirit of truth [motivated by God] and the spirit of error [motivated by Satan].   (1John 4:1-6)
