This preaching always shows us an unhappy, angry man – but only when dealing with God’s people (Rev 12:10), not when bragging on himself or when flirting with the sisters. Then it’s all fun and games.
This doing the same thing and expecting a different result is not just the so-called definition of insanity, it was the motto of Brother Stair’s Overcomer Ministry. Decade after decade we witness Brother Stair wanting his people to react differently while he continued to use the same tactics that gave him those results. Never able to acknowledge that if he would change then they would change (2Tim 3:7).
Always ignoring what he said God told him about ignoring our faces and making whole services about us and our unacceptable reactions. Never words that brought about the fruit of changed lives (Mt 7:15-20). No fruit of perfecting and a people to walk in holiness.
Thus he finished his ministry still tearing down, destroying, overthrowing, and never building up and plant (Jer 1:10; 31:28) There was never a restoration or a perfected bride. Far from it. Brother Stair turned from the teachings of holiness and apostatized unto a greasy grace that made provision for [his] flesh (Rom 13:14).
Today Pastor Rice increased his time to 1:23, close to Brother Stair’s time today of 1:56. It’s sad to see Pastor Rice taking of the same spirit of despite against the people of God as Brother Stair had. But it is what we are witnessing.
“Get out of here! Go home! Get out! I get so tired of you people pulling that shenanigan on me.”
This casting out of this Diotrephes gets worse and is also seen in Pastor Rice lately (3Jn 1:9-11). Familiar spirits but not God’s spirit (1Samuel 28:7).
“I got to get an empty house, God. Before I can get this house full I’m gonna have to empty it out. That’s all I know.” “God’s gonna back me up on it.”
Does anything need to be said here on this one?
The wise woman builds her house,
But the foolish tears it down with her own hands.
(Pr 14:1 NASB95)
After service and the return to the broadcast, there were two and a half minutes of dead air – nothing going out. All that good supporter’s money going to air nothing. Or is it all going to air nothing? Then there came the airing of Brother Stair giving a sermon by Oral Roberts because it was ‘anointed’ and would elicit a reaction in the large Gathering at that service.
Yet this same Brother Stair claimes that same Oral Roberts has apostatized and is Hellbound – though he has no compunction with delivering one of his messages when it’s useful to him. While this same Brother Stair says that men like this (anointed) are immune to apostatizing (especially himself) and that they ‘cannot be wrong’. [We have an article coming soon dealing with this]
What we find here (as always) is that Brother Stair has excluded himself (as always) from all questions of wrongdoing, while he eagerly heeps his condemnation upon others for any little thing that he doesn’t like and makes them damned over it.
We would do well to remember that Brother Stair himself pronounced his own damnation upon himself – back when he thought he wouldn’t be caught in his lies – when he said that if he sinned again that he would be finished (damned). This was when before 2001 when he was teaching that he was without sin and that he had sinned his seven times (according to Proverbs 24:16) and that if he fell again that he was damned and that we should flee. Which 99% have, yet he likewise condemned them for doing so.
How many times have you heard Brother Stair say that if you think that he’s a false prophet that you should run? Yet he will never equate the running of the 99% to their witness of his being a false prophet, or at least an evil man (which is what it usually came down to). This is the blindness of the false prophet (Isa 56:10-11).
Reminds me of Jezebel who couldn’t see her own demise and thought that Jehu was coming to bless her or that she could seduce him. This further reminds me of when Adam Lock of WWCR came to visit Brother Stair in 2005 and he thought that he was coming to work out putting him on Dr. Gene Scott’s transmitters now that Scott passed.
What transpired was the farthest thing from the prophet’s mind. WWCR wanted what they were owed and were done with him leading them one with his static low payment when he was supposed to be on a per diem basis and paying them all that was coming in via WWCR listeners. They might have even tested Brother Stair in this with known listeners and found that Bro Stair was not reporting his donations via WWCR and that Brother Stair was indeed fleecing them of these funds (in the amounts of tens of thousands per month). So his time on WWCR was drastically pulled from that point. That’s not one you heard from the pulpit, did you?
We kept in the ever-faithful ending of Service with the 2001 Prophecy declaring the bad stuff to make it sound more relevant. We have cut it down to get the point across that is missed in this – that that month was March 2001.
Which goes back to the prophet not knowing his own time and his final judgment. This blindness of the 2001 Prophecy shows how the prophet didn’t have a clue about 9/11 or his exposure as the man of sin which would be revealed in just a few months. While nothing he spoke here came to pass in March 2001.
