Tucked away in the 1987 Prophecy is a paragraph that jumped out the other day. Especially in light of Brother Stair’s death and what he claimed the terms thereof would be. This 1987 Prophecy was aired for Sabbath Service on April 3rd, 2021, rather than a Service, the day before Brother Stair slept (1Cor 11:29-30). That airing included a spooky background droning and sound effects like the Wizard of Oz.
“It is not a vision of a man that speaks it, it is not at the discerning of a man’s soul that cries it out today; but this My servant that I have raised up I have declared to him from My mother’s womb that My word shall be in his mouth. Yea, you will stone him, you will reject him, you will even eventually destroy him. Oh, but I have said unto you that it would be better that a millstone be hung around your neck than for you to offend one of My little ones. And I have raised him up that he would be willing to accept the offense, for they will come, but woe be unto them by whom the offense cometh.”
It is NOT a vision of a man that speaks it
It’s not? Whose vision is it then? God doesn’t have visions – He gives them. Did God then not give this vision to Brother Stair? Was this another vision of William Branham’s that he stole? Perhaps it was a vision of a woman (Rev 2:20)? Yes, that was the vision that was fulfilled in the Overcomer – prophet Jezebel and prophet Balaam’s vision (Rev 2:20, 14).
It is not at the discerning of a man’s soul that cries it out today
So this is saying that Brother Stair is not a man of discernment. He was just ripping this off the headlines and preemptively getting the rush on it so it would look like he was a prophet?
This My servant that I have raised up I have declared to him from My mother’s womb
I didn’t know God had a mother. It’s sounding a lot like it’s a vision of a man that speaks it rather than from God’s mouth. It sure does speak much about the servant and lift him up. Don’t recall anywhere that God does that in a prophecy. Do you? Yet this is again what the focus of the 2007 Prophecy was all about. A little destruction is offered up because of how you’re treating the prophet but mostly another glorification of the prophet.
Here’s the Overcomer Shaking Sentence
You [America] will stone him, you will reject him, you will even eventually destroy him.
America is who this prophecy is directed to, so the ‘you’ here is America. Here God (if it is from God, or if you believe it was from God) is saying that America will stone, reject, and eventually destroy Brother Stair. God is not saying that the Pope will do it. Why then did Brother Stair turn from God’s proclamation of his death and seek another more fanciful one? Did he not believe his own prophecy? Did he not believe this was from God? Did he not listen to it all those times he aired it you us to hear? Time to decide.
It would be better that a millstone be hung around your neck than for you to offend one of My little ones
I have raised him up that he would be willing to accept the offense
Oh, that’s a gut buster. Who, praytell, has ever witnessed that? This is obviously talking about someone other than Brother Stair that God raised up. Because Brother Stair always took offense and was unwilling to accept even the slightest hint of a wrong face looking his way. On top of this, God told him not to be afraid of their faces – yet he always was. Such blatant rebellion against God’s word to him (1 Samuel 15:23). He who sows wickedness reaps trouble (Pr 22:8 NIV78).
But woe be unto them by whom the offense cometh
That one would be Brother Stair – the Offender. The man that lost 99% of all that the Father sent him (John 18:9, 6:37). Moreover, Brother Stair would argue that it was God’s people from whom the offense cometh. That was offending him. But the scriptures would then tell him, Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother (Mt 18:15). This was not an action that Brother Stair followed. He would attack a brother or sister publically, justifying it with a scripture that was about an elder that sinned (1Tim 5:19-20) – so he was out of order and out of context.
Moreover, he was ignoring the same scripture that he used to justify his action which says he needed witnesses. Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear (1Tim 5:19-20). How many errors can a man make in the same scripture? I count five on Brother Stair’s account of that scripture. He did it under the justification so that others may fear but he did not fear perverting God’s word to do it.
In this, he offended not only the little ones but also God’s word. So who is the woe unto? Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended (Pr 22:10 NIV78),
Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.
The Obviously Overlooked
Obviously, this was NOT the vision of the man that spoke it. Brother Stair had no intention that what ‘God’ said would be taken literally and come to pass in this paragraph. That was not his intended vision. He did not intend to listen to his own message/prophecy. As he also said, [I] will not listen. [I] will not do that which He has asked [me] to do. No, Brother Stair rebelled against the death/destruction that God planned for him in this prophecy that began his prophetic ministry (1Sam 15:23).
The Vision of the Man that Spoke it
And obviously, this is the vision of the Man that Spoke it. This is seen in the context of this paragraph. This whole paragraph is about Brother Stair and how God is exalting him, how he’s God’s servant, and how he is being offended, stoned, rejected, and eventually destroyed. Me, me, me. This is the vision of Brother Stair.
This is not from the Holy Spirit or an anointing thereof. This is clearly seen in the sentence This My servant that I have raised up I have declared to him from My mother’s womb. God doesn’t make mistakes, a man speaking by the anointing of the Holy Spirit doesn’t make mistakes. This is (the vision of) a man that is in confusion – something that God does not author (1Cor 14:33) – and doesn’t know if he’s speaking about himself or about God – for himself or for God. He’s making this up as he went.
He was likely under an anointing – but it wasn’t from God. That again is clearly proved today in that none of this came to pass in 1987. When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken (Deut 18:22). It would be blaspheming the Holy Ghost to say that He was the author of this. If God had a part in this it was to overthrow Brother Stair’s words, He overthroweth [frustrates] the words of the transgressor [unfaithful] (Pr 22:12 [NIV78]).
To blindly accept someone’s word that something is God’s anointing or from the Holy Spirit is wrong. We are told to test the spirits because they are not all from God – very few will be from God in the Last Days. This testing is especially true of prophets (1John 4:1). It is just as much blasphemy of the Holy Ghost to ascribe the works of the Devil to the Holy Ghost as it is to ascribe the works of the Holy Ghost to the Devil. That is what most people fail to see, and it is what is most predominant today.
Brother Stair was schooled by religious shysters on how to appear anointed by using human psychology and religious mannerism. Like his King James speak mode that he goes into when he serves up a ‘prophecy’ with the ye’s and yea’s. Even Brother Stair said in 2001 that this was one of the many ways of the heathen that he learned (Jer 10:2) – yet he still returned to employing it in his 2007 Prophecy – the one most often heard aired immediately after Sabbath Service. The fruit and lack of fulfillment of these prophecies are what make them not from God. Don’t lie on God (Rom 3:4)!
Still, this was not a vision of Brother Stair as much as it was the vision of his puppet master, the Devil (2Tim 2:26). Master of puppets, I’m pulling your strings, Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams, Blinded by me, you can’t see a thing. Taste me, you will see, More is all you need, Dedicated to How I’m killing you (Master of Puppets, Metallica, 1986).
This is not meant as an attack or condemnation of Brother Stair. We are merely doing as Pastor Rice said this week, talking about what Brother Stair said. This is meant to open the blind eyes of his followers who don’t examine his scriptures in light of either the facts or of God’s Word. Did we say something wrong? Testify as to what it was we said that was wrong. If I have spoken wrongly, testify of the wrong; but if rightly, why do you strike Me? (John 18:23 NASB95)
Which of Brother Stair’s many prophecies do you believe to have come to pass? Post them in the comments below.
