Brother Stair invites all to come and join him at the Overcomer Christian Tabernacle for the Feast of Trumpets 2020 Gathering which begins on Friday, September 18th and running through the week until Monday the 28th, every night at 7pm.

No Jesus This Year

Brother Stair says that Jesus is not coming this year.  Usually, this is not spoken until we are in a Gathering that we were lead to believe Jesus might come at.  Yet, this shouldn’t have to be said because there are so many signs that he has said would have to take place first.  Signs that he doesn’t mention in his announcements.  So we’ll cover some of them here.

  • Jesus comes [within] six months after Brother Stair’s death.
    • If Jesus is to come at the Feast of Trumpets, then Brother Stair has to die at Passover [or thereafter].
  • Jesus is coming in a year when all the Fall Feasts happen in September (not apparently in the same Jewish month – which they always do).
    • This year (2020) is not such a year.  Tabernacles (Feast of Booths) is the conclusion of the Fall Feasts and it is on Oct 3-9 2020.  [This fact appears to have slipped by the prophet]

Next year [2021] is proclaimed as the next option for Jesus to come.  This would mean:

Other items regarding the future timeline as taught by prophet Brother R.G. Stair are listing in the Future Timeline.

Many Things Cleared Up

Brother Stair announces that Many things need to be cleared up at this time.  We would hope so because the revelation of the times and especially the time of Jesus’ return in Brother Stair’s proclamations have so little to be fulfilled that it makes it look like it could be at almost any time.  Like when Jesus was coming before the year 2000 – without any other prophetic signs being fulfilled.  Apparently, the biblical events weren’t important, only the prophets’ proclamation.

Since then we have had a few smatterings of details that have come out, and seem to be forgotten, or at least shelved – like what was covered above.  But primarily, as now, we are only told that Jesus is coming in a September when all the Fall Feasts line up in it.  And that Brother Stair has shortened the Tribulation down to three and a half years.

By and large, no other biblical events are brought into this picture.  Aside from the occasional Keep your eyes on Jerusalem (which is not a scripture by the way), and the rare news items about armies heading that way.  There is no awareness of a time period that has to take place once we are in the Tribulation.

Tribulation Timing

This is because Brother Stair has long declared that we would be into the Tribulation before we knew when it started.  Because of this, we can’t count the days until we know when it started.  Why then did God give us a day-count if we will only know when they’ve passed?  Yet, it seems to be the role and reason for the prophet, and our listening to him, to be the sole one that God is going to declare when (in the past) the Tribulation started.

This goes along with his teaching that revelation comes after the fact.  That is what is called hindsight – not revelation.  He got this perverse teaching from William Branham.  We can all surmise that we’re in the Tribulation after we’re in it.  Better than that, we can use the events that the Bible speaks of to know.

What is the use of a prophet if he can’t tell anything before time?  That is not the office of a prophet – that’s a word of knowledge (1Cor 12:8).  Even the Bible gives us better timing than this; For then shall be great tribulation (Mt 24:21), as we are given real events to look for in Matthew 24.  Not the Sign of Jonah that some teach us is in Matthew 24 – but is not.

Revealing Time

While this might seem absurd when you hear it brought out like this – but this is how it’s meant by Brother Stair.  It is still his teaching on the Last Days.  That the Antichrist will only be revealed by a prophet that God chose (believed to be Brother Stair), as this revealing of the Antichrist, and likewise the Man of Sin, comes only by revelation to a special prophet of God’s choosing.

Meanwhile, scripture clearly tells us that this revealing comes to those (plural) with wisdom who calculates his number (Rev 13:18).  Not only that but God also has given us all his number.  Nothing mysterious or to be revealed in this – it’s purely wise calculation – not revelation (Rev 13:18).  Those who sell this as coming by revelation only are doing so to sell themselves as the revealer, and that you will never know unless you keep your eyes and ears on them.

Revealing Antichrist

You might say that this Revelation 13:18 is the Beast and not the Antichrist.  What Brother Stair may not have told you is that the word Antichrist is not mentioned in the book of Revelation.  Only John speaks of antichrist and makes mention of the coming antichrist that many supposed to be the one End Time Antichrist (1Jn 2:18).

Since this is the same John who is writing the book of Revelation, we know that he knows the term and he would use it if it were to apply.  John makes the point that antichrists are already among us – yet he doesn’t use it in identifying any specific major Antichrist person in Revelation (1Jn 2:18).

This should tell us that perhaps we are looking at this wrong or that we’re looking for someone who isn’t coming as we think – and so we may miss what God wants us to be looking for.  Especially if we’re waiting on someone to identify someone who isn’t even coming.  Peter doesn’t tell us to be looking for the anti-Jesus (2Pt 3:12), and certainly not the Greater Than Jesus that we have among us today.  We hope this at least causes you to stop and reevaluate what you’re being taught to believe (Pr 19:27).

Revelation Of…

So what is Brother Stair supposed to be revealing?  The options here are the Beast, as just covered and shown that his identity does not come by revelation by a prophet (Rev 13:18).  Plus Brother Stair doesn’t even say he’s going to reveal who the Beast is – just the Antichrist – who isn’t mentioned in Revelation.

Then there’s the Man of Sin and the False Prophet.  Now, Brother Stair has already stated many times that the False Prophet is the Pope and the Catholic Church in general.  So he’s already revealed that one.  So that leaves us with the Man of Sin, and Brother Stair said in 2002 that this man was revealed by his Great Falling Away.

This teaching of Jesus only coming in September and only in a September when all the Feasts fall in September, gives one a lot of wiggle room to walk in one’s sins (or to convince others to sin with you (Rev 2:20, 22)) since you’ve got time to get ready for Christs’ return – because God will forgive” (Rom 6:1-2).  So, we know that Jesus is not coming this year [2020], and thus we are told that we are commemorating the time when He will come.  Is that what Jesus told us to commemorate?  Did Jesus say that we are to Gather at Trumpets in remembrance of Me coming (Lk 22:19;  1Cor 11:24-15)?

The Feasts of Fall

There are three Feasts in the Fall Feasts, though usually separated into four by counting the last day of the great feast (Jn 7:37) which is the feast of Tabernacles (not Trumpets).  Whereupon the last day there is held a Sacred Assembly.  This takes place 21 days after Trumpets starts.

Trumpets is known as Rosh Hashana or New Year’s Day.  It begins the Fall Feasts, and as it’s God’s New Year’s Day – it is the beginning of the Feasts – not the ending of them (as Brother Stair teaches).

The Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) takes place a week and a half after Trumpets.  Yom Kippur is the most important of the Feasts, it is considered the High Holy Day – unless you discount the atonement of sins or you believe that sins don’t even matter to God – as Brother Stair teaches.

The ten-day period from Trumpets to Atonement (inclusive) is known also as the Ten Days of Repentance – unless you don’t believe that fleshly sin needs to be repented of – as Brother Stair teaches.  Or you teach – as Brother Stair does – that God’s grace teaches you to deny ungodly lusts [saying that there are godly lusts and that godly lusts are fine] and adding to it that God’s grace doesn’t teach us to deny fleshly lusts [so fleshly lusts and godly lusts are okay to God – it’s just the ungodly variety of lusts that we are to deny].  This is opposed to the scriptures that teach us differently, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly luststhat is what the scripture actually says (Titus 2:11-13).

The Feasts of Flesh

Brother Stair teaches that fleshly lusts are not that same thing as ungodliness and worldly lusts (Titus 2:12), meaning that fleshly lusts are godly and thus they do not need to be denied.  But then again, this scriptural teaching of denying comes from the grace of God that bringeth salvation (Titus 2:11) and Brother Stair doesn’t preach that gospel “of salvation – so perhaps this scripture is a moot point to him.

Your throne is founded on two strong pillars—the one is Justice and the other RighteousnessMercy and Truth walk before You as Your attendants.  Blessed are those who hear the joyful blast of the trumpet, for they shall walk in the light of Your presenceThey rejoice all day long in Your wonderful reputation and in Your perfect righteousness.  You are their strength.  (Psalm 89:14-16  TLB)

This false sense of righteousness is what the Pharisees and Sadducees were noted for.  This was the issue that Jesus had with them and was a common issue God had with Israel – hypocrisy.  Jesus’ harsh words in the New Testament were toward these men of religious pretense – not His people.  It has always been those who lord it over God’s heritage as more enlightened, more spiritual, and more called than they are who God has issues with (1Pt 5:3).  These are they which practice the doctrine of the Nicolaitans (separating themselves from the laity and ruling over the laity) – which Jesus hates (1Pt 5:3;  Rev 2:6, 15).

This spirit often gets on men and ministries that believe they are specialsomeone great (Acts 8:9).  They have left the greater matters of the Law – mercy, truth, loving-kindness, justice, righteousness, and faithfulness (Mt 23:23-28;  Ps 89:2, 14).  God’s very Throne is founded on Righteousness and Justice (Ps 89:14) yet hypocrisy will pervert both of these – and every other righteous thing.

The major sign of this false religious spirit of hypocrisy is seen in those who accuse and rail on God’s people for things they think (or teach) to be sin while they themselves are immune to such judgment – as the Pharisees and Sadducees did (2Pt 2:19;  Jude 1:19).  This is what Jesus hated – not His little ones (Mk 9:42;  Rev 2:6, 15).

Know Jesus This Year

As the time for the Gathering in Walterboro (Canady’s now) gets closer, fearful news clips are now being aired on the Overcomer Broadcast to bring us into the mindset of the nearness of The End.

But remember Jesus isn’t coming this year [2020] according to Brother Stair.  But don’t forget Brother Stair’s court restrictions against minors as was covered in the article Trumpets 2020.  Or that Jesus was, according to Brother Stair, to come before the year 2000.

You are invited to come to the Overcomer Tabernacle for the Feast of Trumpets 2020 Gathering which begins on September 18th.  But you might want to make plans to stay for the 2-week quarantine period when you come.  And for many states – when you return home [as mentioned in Trumpets 2020].

Jesus may have told us that The Kingdom of God cometh not with observation (Luke 17:20) but at the Overcomer Ministry we are going to be looking for the signs and pointing you to the signs of the coming kingdom – and mostly to The Sign.  Paul may have said he feared for us because we observe days, and months, and times, and years (Gal 4:9-11) but it’s not going to stop the Overcomer Gathering with Brother Stair.  The word of God has never navigated Brother Stair yet, why start now?

The Faithful Fewer

With the originally (predicted) anticipated 200 hoped for to come and join looking more like a scarce few (as the phone calls have informed the prophet).  This year’s Feast may end up being relegated to mostly forgotten – aside from the expected rage denouncing of all those too fearful to come.

Likely that will be turned (out of rebellion) into not as much preaching to those attending, rather than more preaching throughout the weekend to the masses who didn’t physically attend but are listening to the broadcast.

But we have seen a turn to the former means (merchandising) of pulling heartstrings using old music and prayers to make it sound like we’re back in 2001 – and everything is fine here.  While it would be good if Brother Stair has actually repented of his present ways over the last couple of decades, it is unlikely – but time will tell (Mt 7:15, 20).  It’s more likely that what we’re hearing on the Broadcast is just a build-up to the current Gathering and a set-up for the expected Healing Service of 1000.

Brother Stair is saying that he will seal the testimony of his ministry with his death.  [We can’t seem to find that in the Bible anywhere – can anyone help us find that?]  Well, at least Brother Stair can no longer be in more error once he dies but the validation of his ministry comes not from his death – for what would that prove?  [Actually, we have to take back that previous statement because he would be in more error after his death when Jesus doesn’t return in six months, or 3 days (he makes claims to both).]

Thus Saith the LORD

A prophet’s validation comes from their prophecy coming to pass as they spoke it in the timeframe they spoke it would.  In that light – none of Brother Stair’s words or prophecies have been validated as true – they have all failed.  The reason that we might not realize this is because he continues to repeat them as if they are still valid and he tells us that they have been fulfilled just as he spoke.  Yet there’s nothing – not one thing – which he spoke for which that can be said about.  Thus he gives us generalizations that it is so – not one concrete example.

You see, it was his specificity that got him cornered and caught back in 1987 because he was specific about when and how Ronald Reagan would leave office and other specific timeframes for America’s destruction.  Therefore his later noted Prophecies were ambiguous and generalizations.  He has learned that setting dates and specific details get him in trouble – or caught.  While biblical prophets spoke with specific details and specific timelines.

Whether Jesus returns this year [2020] or next year [2021], or in 2000, or in 1988,… as Brother Stair has many times predicted (prophesied).  Or could He come in any year up to 2030?  Or will He come when the time is actually right for His return and the signs and the word of God are fulfilled?

It might not matter to some since Brother Stair already claims to be Greater than Jesus.  So do we really need to wait for Jesus’ return or even be looking for Him?  After all, the Son of Man is already here, the messenger has come, (and many other such claims).  If this is the case, we’d better get to the Gathering in Canadys, hadn’t we?

What Saith Thou

Here’s a Testimony that includes errors in the Feast Days observances, in this video at about 18 mins.  But almost all of our articles on the Feasts observed by the Overcomer show the errors in the dates and times (Daniel 7:25).

Who then should we be listening to as the Time nears the End?  Some say Elijah will come and lead us.  Some say a Prophet/Messenger will guide us.  Are we to heed those with the message The Time Draweth Near?  Or that the End Is Near?  Or are we to beware?  And Test the Spirits of these men?

For many will come in My name [misusing it, and appropriating the strength of the name which belongs to Me], saying, ‘I [Jesus] am the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed),’ and they will mislead many.
But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish and the time of unprecedented trouble].

(Matt 24:5, 8  AMP)
